ABOUT KIERSTEN
After a series of Snowboarding-related injuries combined with less-than-intelligent training left Kiersten unable to walk, stand, or even sit, she began studying Yoga, Pilates, and the subtle nuances of body mechanics which support healthy and sustainable athletic modalities. After years of rehabilitation involving Yoga and Pilates, she recovered from a broken back and a blown-out disc, restoring her strength and functionality and avoiding major surgery in the process. Experiencing the relief from pain and the unparalleled mental focus Yoga and Pilates facilitate, Kiersten seeks to share — in a playful, curious manner — what she has learned from these practices. She aims to bring precise body awareness to her classes: what muscles are working and why; how can one strengthen and stabilize; where can one safely let go; when can one do more core (always).
