This training is 100% live and in person.
Overview
Beginning on 15 February 2025, we will cover everything from deep anatomy and tuning the body’s myofascial meridians to the science and philosophies of breath work, meditation, cognitive clarity, and deliberate cold exposure. We will leave no aspect of the body-mind complex unexplored. If ever there was a laboratory for all things movement, this is it.
Today, many trainings consist of pre-recorded videos and remote options to reach more attendees. While this approach may fill seats, it often compromises the depth and quality of the learning experience, particularly when it comes to the physical body in motion and the subtle body in breathwork/meditation. This training does not follow the online/remote trend, and instead is 100% live and in person, prioritizing an immersive, face-to-face exploration to foster effective teaching and lasting community connection.
Our days together will be filled with movement practice, creative sequencing, class and workshop building, philosophical, yogic, and spiritual texts, as well as the intersection with and application of these texts to our modern times and teaching.
We will probe the histories of yoga through word and gesture, from the early days of hatha to our more contemporary practices of ashtanga and vinyasa, from the verses of the Bhagavad Gita to the testing rooms of Avison, Myers, Schleip, Huberman, Attia, and others. We will play, think, experiment, and study together in a safe, spirited, and mindful setting. At the end of the training, you will be positioned to share your wisdom with others in group-classes and beyond as a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher.
